Fabric4Masks

Fabric4Masks has developed a set of high performing locally woven facemasks in a project that has run through the timeline of the developing pandemic. Along the way, we have had to rethink woven materials and production as well as designing and manufacturing our own mask testing equipment. We present an urgent manufacturing concept for protective materials, designed, developed and iterated in a community of students, recent graduates, weavers, designers and local manufacturing experts – designed with urgency in a time of crisis.
