Genetically Disordered Products

Population is growing in a rate never seen before, and the natural resources required are becoming scarce.

The reason to model electronic devices with ‘genetic’ disorders is to share my vision on our relationship with electronic products and the problems of e-waste A great part of my critique is focused on design education. Interviews with industrial designers on these artefacts and the problem of e-waste highlighted their unawareness, demonstrating the need for education to encourage new generations of designers to account for these issues. As consumers, we also need to rethink the way we behave in relation to these products.
