Artificial polymer skins that mimic the nature liquid secretion process

A wound bandage with an on/off switch that first releases one drug, absorbs wound fluid and then releases the next drug…. sweaty robots, machines that oil themselves, or maybe windows that wash themselves. This will all be possible thanks to a newly developed artificial polymer skin that mimics natural liquid secretion processes on plant surfaces and mammal skins. The developed polymer coating can excrete and absorb functional fluids in a controlled manner.
