AVA
A discussion tool aiming at creating trust and transparency in perinatal shared care teams.
In the Netherlands, too many babies die around their birth. One of the causes is the sometimes difficult cooperation, communication and documentation between primary and secondary care professionals. AVA provides a shared space for discussion within the multidisciplinary meetings. The tokens provide tangible discussion points which can be placed around the symbolic patient. The board is linked to a digital system containing patient files, joint patient discussions and care paths. (Developed in collaboration with Philips and Máxima Medisch Centrum).
In Nederland sterven nog te veel baby’s rond de geboorte. Eén van de oorzaken is de soms moeizame samenwerking, communicatie en documentatie tussen verloskundigen, gynaecologen en andere zorgprofessionals. AVA biedt een gemeenschappelijke ruimte voor discussie tijdens het multidisciplinaire overleg. De tokens dienen als tastbare argumenten of meningen en kunnen rondom de symbolische patiënt worden geplaatst. Het discussiebord is verbonden met een digitaal systeem dat de patiëntgegevens, genomen besluiten en zorgpaden opslaat. (In samenwerking met Philips en het Máxima Medisch Centrum.)
