Luca
Waste is a valuable resource that can be used in many, complex applications.
Together, we produce 2.1 billion tons of waste each year… To show that waste can be reused, student team TU/ecomotive presents a car made out of waste. It is a sporty looking electric car named Luca that weighs only 360 kg, plus 60 kg of batteries. The chassis is made out of flax and recycled plastics, of which the major part comes straight from the ocean. Luca has a top speed of 90 km/h and a range of 220 km.
We produceren samen 2,1 miljard ton afval per jaar… Studententeam TU/ecomotive ziet afval juist als een waardevol materiaal. Het team heeft daarom Luca gebouwd, een auto gerealiseerd met afvalmaterialen. Het is een sportief uitziende, elektrische auto van slechts 360 kg plus 60 kg aan batterijen. De basis is een sandwichpaneel van vlas en gerecyceld plastic, waarvan een groot deel is opgevist uit de oceaan. Luca heeft een topsnelheid van 90 km/uur en een actieradius van 220 km.
